Museum Re-branding

Art Gallery of Ontario is one of the largest art museums in North America, attracting approximately one million visitors annually. The AGO Collection of more than 120,000 works of art ranges from cutting-edge contemporary art to significant works by Indigenous and Canadian artists and European masterpieces. The AGO presents wide-ranging exhibitions and programs, including solo exhibitions and acquisitions by diverse and underrepresented artists from around the world.

AGO’s mission is completed by three different qualities. Presenting great “ART”, “ENGAGING” learning, and bringing “O-DIENCE(audience)” together through art. The logo shape is the combination of three different representative shapes which also represent those three different qualities. Those shapes are simplified shapes of letters A, G, and O.

The first shape represents the ‘ART’ that AGO presents to the audiences. The second shape is the ‘ENGAGEMENT’ of learning that AGO wants to introduce to the audiences. The last part is the ‘O-DIENCE(audience)’ , the most important principle of our mission, who are going to be connected through AGO’s mission.
